It is about Dao's (Kob) mother who in her earlier
years was a young, naive woman who happened to get
pregnant by a man of different class from her. After
finding out she was pregnant, Dao's mother's caretaker
took great pains to hid the young girl's pregnancy from
her parents. After the birth of the baby, Dao's mother
and the caretaker decided to give the baby up. Dao was
then brought up by this couple but the hatred foster
mother was only abusive and conniving to Dao. She had
made the little girl grow up forcing to do all the
chores at home while also abusing her. Forced to live in
such misery, and horrible lifestyle, Dao then escape and
went to live at a brothel place. In the meantime, Dao's
mother had married and have a young son about age three
or four. However, when Dao escaped from the foster
parents Dao ran into her mother's house, in attempt to
steal some food to eat. Dao's mother's husband saw the
little girl,(she was about 7 or 8) and started to
spanked her for trying to steal stuff out of the house.
Dao's mother came rushing in hoping to stop her husband
from beating her, and then only to realized that this
young little girl was no other than the daughter she
abandon. Dao's mother could not do anything and watch in
misery her husband hitting her. She cannot tell her
husband of her shameful past kept silent. After many
years past, Dao continue living at the brothel place,
even though she knows now who her mother was, from the
nurse and the doctor who gave birth to her.
Dao is now about sixteen when she met a man. Phak
(Num), that was his name, met Dao at the brothel (prostitute)
place hoping to "get laid" by Dao. He thought she was no
more than a prostitute. Instead, he was also intrigue by
Dao's deceptive behavior, decided against his caretaker's
advice, took her to his house to live there with him,
only as his ward and nothing else. The irony of it is
that Dao's mother is also (no blood relation) a closer
sister to Phak. She was happy and thrilled that her
daughter came and live with Phak. Dao at this time was
not immune to her mother's constant attention toward
her. She knows that her mother's decision to gave her up
was purely for the sake of honor toward her family and
her husband. What really ticked Dao off is that her
mother would not acknowledge Dao as her daughter when
they are alone. Phak, who is her caretaker does not know
the relationship between them. At this time, Dao who
became conscious of her relationship with Phak was also
depressed and unhappy for she was growing more and more
in love with her guardian.
However, to add to this complicated twist of the
movie, Dao's mother's husband's sister was also hoping
to hitch Phak for a future husband. Reasmey does not
understand why Phak would take his time to adopt such "disgusting,
tramp" who Reasmey know was also interested in Phak
himself. Phak however was also not immune to Dao's
charm. The more he lived with her the stronger he felt
for her.
However, much later, Dao then realized that her
feelings for her guardian was more than physical
attraction. To her horror, she fell in love with him and
doesn't want to stay at his house to destroy his
relationship with Reasmey. Her mother who was ignorant
of her daughter's feeling toward Phak was hoping to pair
her off with Phak's friend. The reason for this was that
she thought her daughter was falling in love with the
man she slept with a long time ago, and that is Dao's
own father. Dao's mother arrived at this conclusion
because at a party, she had seen her ex responding and
wanting to get to know Dao more than friends. Phak also
stated that this old man, also had been coming in and
out to his house to see Dao. In the meantime, Phak wasn't
prepared to acknowledge the burning jealousy he had
toward his friend or the old man. All he knows is that
his feelings for Dao was growing stronger and stronger
each day. Reasmey, who was not only conniving, and
disgustingly mean, told Dao that her staying at his
house only bring trouble and misery to him. That he felt
responsible for her. Upset, Dao had agreed to take the
money the old man offered to give her to repay her debt
to Phak. Later that night, she placed the money in his
bed. As he was changing he saw the check and came
storming into her room and throw her duffle bag with her
clothes away, asking where she get the money. Dao became
frightened at his action (he was never like this) ran to
the other side of the bed hoping to escape him....

Hern Fa (Num) was a son of a wealthy man in
Bangkok, Thailand. His father loves to lived his life as
an ordinary person, especially, he wants to lived his
life in the countryside with his young wife and his son,
Hern Fa. Hern Fa is a quiet and respectful guy. He
doesn't hangout with his friends much. He considered a
young and an ordinary girl, Suay (Kob), as the
only friend that he has. She was likes a best friend to
him. She knew how Hern Fa will react when people want to
question him about his parents. Hern Fa will get so
angry when people started to talk about his father.
One day his father died, what a tragedy for Hern Fa
and his mother! His father lifted a will that Hern Fa
has to continue to go to school in Bangkok. So, he has
to live with his aunt. She has four kids, two boys and
two girls they're mean and stubborn. Hern Fa is about to
leave his home and his mother to live with these strange
people that he has never known before. Would they be
nice to him or mean to him? He would never know, until
he sees it with his owned eyes. Before he leave, he went
up to the mountain and Suay went looking for him. She
knew that was his favorite place, because whenever he's
unhappy he will go there to watch the world around him
and yelled out his name, Hern Fa! He told Suay that it
helped him feel better after that loud scream and
there's like an echo sound that repeated after him. He
asked Suay to scream with him and then they started
holding hands.
Hern Fa got blamed by his mean aunt. She was mad
that he make her wait for him. They were in the car
about to leave, Hern Fa saw Suay and told the driver to
stop. The aunt ask the driver, "why did you stopped?"
The driver answered, "because Prince Hern Fa told him to
stopped." Hern Fa rans to talk with Suay under the tree.
Suay holds a drawing in her hand that she has drawn for
him. Hern Fa give a ring to Suay for memory or for Suay
that he loved and he keep her in his heart. Suay asked,
"to whom is the ring belong to, before?" Hern Fa
answered, "my father gave the ring to a woman that he
loved, but they don't have feeling for each other, so
she gave it back to him," "he give it to my mother when
they got married." So now, the ring belong to Suay and
Hern Fa want her to keep it forever. He wouldn't want
the same thing to happen to him like his father. He was
worried that one day Suay will give back the ring to
him. Hern Fa told her that he will never forget her, no
matter what. They say good bye to each other. That he
would come to visit her and his mother. She promised him
that she will help take cares his mother and his dog for
him.
They got there, his cousins weren't pleased about
him at all. They're stuckup people that lived happily
with Hern Fa's treasures. Their mother used the money
that belongs to her brother (Hern Fa's father) to pay
for their education, clothes, and etc. It's was quite a
while that Hern Fa lived his life unhappy. He wrote
letters to Suay telling her what happen at where he
lived. He don't want her and his mother to worry about
him, by telling that the people in the house are nice
and kind to him. That he lived with them in a big
mansion (for real he's living in a small house) and
everything is going smoothly. Suay replied back every
letters that he've send.
Hern Fa met his father's ex-girlfriend by the help
from his god-brother. She's a nice lady, she kept Hern
Fa like her own son. Hern Fa does has a lots of
relatives in Bangkok. Hern Fa's mother came and visit
him in Bangkok. That same night he got in a fight with
his two mean cousins. He was really mad at them. He want
to have a little conversation with his aunt. He want her
kids to come say sorry to him about what they have done
to his mother and him. Or else, he will tell the truth
to her kids that the mansion and all the money that they
had spend throught out the years belong to him and his
mother. It take quite a long time to make them say "I'm
sorry." Hern Fa give them so many chances. They get
